Wild West Vocabulary Lesson

Language springs amid its own associations, thus, self-engendered signified. We don't try for absurdity, rather it seems built in to the model. Humans didn't invent irony. They were, arguably, slow in the uptake. "Don't miss that something is funny just because the joke is on you," is what a wise disembodied voice once said in a place and time unknown. Language contains time, if you care to look. That's the nature of the beast. It's important to study the history of a language, its origins.

Just imagine all of the possible etymologies embedded in such a language. Used in a sentence:

"Finding herself swept in a swirling night of carnivale, Lulu donned a mask and acquiesced to the momentum, for this place and time was an expression of a complex set of interacting imaginings."j

If you ever find yourself bereft for lack of absurdity, remember, you can always read your diaries.
