Fashion: Trend-Watch Walla Walla

Disguises are all the rage these days on the streets of Walla Walla, which is seeing an up-surgance of a goofy wrinkle in normcore, which everyone was already doing all of the time. It's a very good disguise in Walla Walla, which is really quite strange underneath the norm-ness, but appearances are ironically maintained. This very repression of the underlying weird of the waters many has people disguising themselves as any sort of extremely normal person other than themselves. This brilliant innovation in disguise science was introduced right here, in fact, as a possible way of celebrating Pointless Affectation Day. The situation in Walla Walla is merely mildly disorienting, which is quite a pleasant thing on a summer afternoon. The introduction of low-intensity weirdness on a grand scale is  often the most disorienting trick of them all. To this end, we shall start a very placid dance craze. There is high probability that this trend will soon infect all areas of the multiverse which are quantum entangled here. Naturally. Some stuff could happen.

UPDATE:  It turns out that Nowhere, Texas is, as often happens, beset with some of the strange that snarls our fair city as well. This may or may not be limited to excessive floridity of the prose; the mixed prints of it, really.

Lost and Found

Lulu didn't remember taking an extra piece of the Levitation Lily, but there was no mistaking what the sparkling pink and white striped candy was. It occurred to her that such a thing could be immensely useful in seeing the forest and even finding one's way home. It would also prove quite effective in avoiding strange falling objects, pitfalls, tricks and all variety of nonsense. The fact that this piece of sugarflower had not been in her pocket only minutes before was hardly a surprise given the overall surprisingness of all arising situations, which really never should have been a surprise, rendering surprisingness OVER. The Levitation Lily was delicious. She took it with strong coffee.

What's Afoot?

It was a day like any other in Walla Walla, or Water Water, as the natives call it. It was a day very much like today, which might also be mistaken for this exact day. It was also the day during which WWWT enterprises, aka Walla Wickidity Works, announced the creation of a brand new Acme space anvil. Don't worry about the space/time stuff. It will sort itself out. Rumor has it that there is a new version of reality in the works in which the horridity of C&T's classic, Muskrat Love, was never puked into the stream. We in the twin waters are perfectly ready to see that go.

When You Least Expect It, Expect It

What has an examination of the video evidence finally told us? If there is one theme that emerges from the collective experience of the MTV generation, perhaps it is this: the most appropriate time for a dance craze, the only appropriate time, in fact, is when there is absolutely no call for dancing. One could blather on endlessly with the extrapolations and extensions into areas like cartoon logic, the itch factor in time experiments, how tricksters remade the universe in their own image using the rising tides of chaos, cooking, wack fashion statements and some other interesting scientific discussions, but suffice it to say that the unpredictability factor is part of the fun of the new paradigm, particularly for the jokers of the previous one. What happens to carefully laid plans when the web upon which they were woven decides to sing another tune? (Boom.) Shaken or stirred the metaphor cocktail is subtle but deep.

Warning: Walla Walla Doppelganger Bi-Location Events Likely

With timelines coalescing in multiples, we've begun to experience many doubling effects simultaneously. Which makes for a very paisley dance craze. It's more like mixed prints, actually. It's as funny as it sounds, which is the reason for all of the maniacal laughter. Anyway, the twin waters are creeped up double-wise these lazy summer days, which is a pleasant, if mercurial, distraction. Don't mind the strange appearances in odd places and times. They are just echoes in the iterations and also obscure references to a personal literary universe, which is pointless to begin to try to decipher.

Alternate Universe Re-Intigration Set

The Wicked Witch of Wherever, which is the new handle, apparently, recently announced a wacky scheme to re-intigrate some of her more novel reality (thought) experiments into some sort of coherent whole, which will henceforth be described as Wherever. It might as aptly be described as Neverever and Always or any number of other absurd place-names.  Sometimes we're just talking about the relative reality of Shaniko vs. that of Wagon Wheel or Christmas Valley. Who knows what could happen with the intermingling of these various thought experiments? What might be gained, for instance, by intermingling the thought experiments of Walla Walla and West Texas, to name an example of a reintegration already engaged? One thing is for sure. It should be hair-raising and off-kilter. It's probably also a good time to sally forth schemes like Popping PiƱata People, since, why not? It's a good thing we already did it. Whatever 'it' might be. Rumor is the WW of W is likely to soon publish a tell-all about time travel and probably featuring more made up people and events, which will be excused as "fiction". That probably makes more sense somewhere. It's been noted in certain circles that we live in an era when most of the facts are nonsense. This makes for interesting opportunities for the intrepid weirdo. If you're reading this you're nuts. That was a metaphor, obviously. the fun.

Some Self-Help Videos

This kind of thing works wonders for one's self concept. It's unimaginably liberating.
